Two sorts of Belleza papaya’s we provide :

Papaya Golden

The Golden variety is a tropical pear shaped papaya with a soft, juicy orange-red flesh and edible seeds. Healthy and good for your diet: this tropical fruit is rich in fiber, vitamins and antioxidants. For example, it contains lycopene, which is a powerful antioxidant that may help protect cells from damage.

Papaya Formosa

Belleza offers a nice and sweet papaya Formosa by air. The papaya is a healthy fruit, rich in fibers, vitamins and antioxidants. Formosa papaya is the largest variety of papaya and has a pleasant, sweet aroma. The pear-shaped fruit has a very fine, leathery yellow-green skin. The flesh of the Formosa is firmer and more orange than other varieties.

How to eat a papaya:

Cut it in half and remove the seeds with a spoon, then you can scoop out the flesh or slice it.

The seeds are also edible and can be used in salads, as a variant of black pepper because of their sharp taste.

Heres a simple and easy recipe without to many ingredients you can try at home to enjoy your papaya:

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons finely grated lime zest (from 2 to 3 medium limes)
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (from 2 to 3 medium limes)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 mango, peeled and diced (about 2 cups)
  • papaya, peeled, seeds removed, and diced (about 2 cups)

Mix the lime zest, lime juice, and honey together in a medium bowl. Add the mango and papaya and stir to combine. And its done! Enjoy!

PS: You can refrigerate the fruit salad for an hour and then serve it with some greek yoghurt for an amazing tropical experience of sweet papaya.
